For every time I've discussed The Meaning of Life with someone, I've thought about it at
least a dozen times. Occasionally, I have enough sense in me to remember to write it down.
That's what these rants are: my occaional thoughts that coallesce into something that I think
might be worth writing and digestable by the general public. More to come as I find additional
time to think (and write at the same time).
- On Violence
- My rant on violence and why I think it is so prevelant in our society
today.
- Back to Violence
- A continuation of my rant on violence as it applies to morality and
people's attitudes toward it.
- To Role Play A Villain
- A rant about role-playing a villain and how it affects players.
- Moving the World
- A different interpretation on an old quote and some of the
consequences of such.
- Treamtment of Others
- A short rant about a simple morality and it's consequences in applying
it to interpersonal relations.
- Degrees of Freedom
- A rant about how our social interactions limit our freedom and how that
relates to morality.
- Worry, Trust, and Faith
- Why do we worry? How do trust and faith factor into this? This rather
long rant tries to analyze the moral connundrums relating to these topics
and how they all tie together.
- Psychological Scars
- We all carry pain from our past, but what does it do for us now? How
does it affect our future?
- Falling
- Falling is a rather interesting concept. In this rant, I try to decypher
what elements make it meaninful (fearful) rather than just the simple
act of falling.
